Hialeah man accused of random knife attack, faces attempted murder charge

A 46-year-old man from Hialeah, Karel Diazgonzalez, has been arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder following a knife attack on Sunday. The incident occurred around 8:18 p.m. when police responded to reports of a stabbing at an apartment on West Seventh Street, where they found the victim with life-threatening injuries. The victim, who did not know Diazgonzalez, was taken to Ryder Trauma Center for surgery after sustaining a stab wound to the lower back of his head.
