The upcoming king tide cycle, on-and-off rain, and strong winds that will whip up rough ocean waves will worsen weather conditions on Saturday and Sunday in South Florida. During high tide, most of South Florida’s beaches will be covered with water, and there could be saltwater flooding in some coastal areas. There is a 50% chance of rain on Saturday, a 60% chance of rain on Sunday, and a 70% chance of rain on Monday. Expect batches of downpours on Sunday and Monday. A high-pressure system will strengthen northeastern winds, so gusts will range from 30 to 40 mph, with sustained winds reaching 21 mph on Saturday and 26 mph on Sunday. The conditions will create a dangerous surf with large breaking waves of 5 to 8 feet. For hour-by-hour local forecasts and a live radar, visit this page.
