The holiday shopping season is right around the corner. There are smart financial strategies you can use to stick to your budget and avoid overspending. Kyle Moore with Quarry Hill Advisors in St. Paul says setting a holiday shopping budget early can save you later. First, start your planning with a number rather than what you want to buy, Moore said. Figure out what that number is and then how can the presents and gifts you planned fit into that number, rather than starting with the gifts and getting way over budget.
